Summer's on at Teeny Weeny Bikini Co.

The May long weekend has come and gone, and this means Teeny Weeny Bikini Co. is open for the season!! The cute shop is open until Thanksgiving and I am definitely planning a visit at some point this Summer!   TWB Co. is located in in the small town of Rosseau Muskoka and houses a variety vintage treasures mingled with an array of Canadian focused lines including owner Ashley Eady's swimwear line Teeny Weeny Bikini.  TWB Co. is a perfect stop to find something fun when up at the cottage!  You'll find a great selection of MoonRox in store now!  It's super warm here in Ontario today.  Looks like a good cottage weekend for those lucky enough to get away!  Happy weekend!

Sunny days

After the long weekend, especially a glorious one, it's particularly hard to get back into the regular daily routine.  I was wishing today was yesterday... and spent the day fumbling with my pliers and dropping findings too many times.

I am such a sucker for the sun.  The streets seem to come alive and everyone is out soaking up the nice weather.  Here are some photos taken while enjoying some of the offerings of this fair city over the past week or so.
Loaded wrist!  From top to bottom:  Entwined Wrap Bracelet, bracelet made for fun, bracelet made when I was 15, clover bracelet from friends at House of Moda, hair tie, Delicate Bracelet.
Lobster in a shop.
Twinkle Gem Earrings.
A visit at Philip Sparks.  Super nice people, beautifully made clothing.
Herb shopping.
Strolling home on a balmy afternoon via back alleys.
Mosaic of fruit and veg.
Massive Hungarian feast.
Yummy gummies.
And then the work week came to a close and it was the unoffical start to Summer for most Canadians.  Planned to spend the entire long weekend outside.  Friday was not warm enough to sit outside all evening, but a taste of Mexico warmed us up.

The weekend official was spent feasting and biking around town...  Lingering on as many patios or outdoor spaces as possible with as many awesome people as possible!
Looove this tree!
This was the most amazing scene.  Paella made from scratch on a charcoal barbeque... not a bad way to end the weekend!  Thanks to J and T for the most top notch BBQ I have ever been to!  Everything was delicious!
It seems to be the general consensus... No one from these parts can remember a May 2-4 that was so nice, weather-wise.  Felt like I had a real break from the daily stresses of life. Come to think of it, I've had two amazing and indulgent weekends in a row.  So good.  Must find a way to keep this going.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the lovely long weekend with me!

A good time

And the weeks just keep flying by!
Here's some of the past week in photos.
On my massive hunt for materials for a perfect custom order, I spotted this paraphernalia... awesome vintage cameras and some old Toronto souvenirs.  Love the post card that reads "Queen Street, Parkdale, Toronto, Canada."  Oh how Parkdale has evolved!
Prettiest pink tulips.
Lunching with a fellow designer.  Catching up on life as a creative self-employed individual.
Packing up shipments!  Entwined Links Necklace in Cobalt Blue...
Dined under this pretty light fixture at KK's.
Painted the nails in tri-tone -- fancy style!
Made Mother's Day jewels for customers to gift!
The Locket Bracelet is such a great choice, especially if filled with personal photos and notes!

Then on Thursday night I stayed up super late to finish off all pressing work so I could take the day off on Friday.  My Sister had the day off too and we enjoyed an extremely fantastic and indulgent day of eating and drinking our way around town.
(I had to document this.  Sister wore things that were not black or grey!  This sort of occurrence has been rare over the past few years!)
Could not get enough of patio weather.  After a full day on the town, frequenting five establishments (not all pictured) and eating, amongst other things, fried chicken sandwiches, salad and fries, macarons, lemon meringue tarts, charcuterie platters, handmade pretzels and grilled cheese sandwiches accompanied by numerous beverages, both hot and cold, alcoholic and non.... and whooping it up with a bunch of my favourite people, I called it a day.  Phew!  Damn good day!  Hoping for many more much like it in the days ahead!
The weekend was just as lovely, only slightly less eating and drinking involved!  Thought I should limit myself to two establishments per day.  Responsible!
It's mid-May... so I decided to ditch the boots for a while!  Got some fancy new alternatives to the sad sad jelly shoes that I have worn to near scraps for the past 5 years.

On Sunday afternoon, I stopped in to the Inspirations Studio Spring Sale.  I was so impressed by how much the work of the women has progressed over the years that I have served on their advisory committee.  Love how each woman has such distinct style in their work.

In the late afternoon, I lapped up the sunshine and admired flowers all about before our usual Sunday dinner.  So great to see all the families out celebrating Mothers everywhere.
Ended a near perfect week under sun-dappled trees in a friend's yard and planned for a new week to begin tomorrow!  I suppose that is technically later today.  Goodnight!
